Our instructors lead this dynamic 5 day course in a truly interactive and engaging way. You're an important part of the training from Day 1! That's because for 5 days you participate as an instructor, participant and coach while implementing and refining your ART® techniques. By the end of the course you'll have plenty of perspective and experience. You'll also be certified to facilitate ART® groups.

  • ART® is an evidence-based curriculum, approved by OYA, that when applied properly has been proven to help youth think and behave less aggressively.
  • The ART® intervention is multi-modal and is delivered to clients in one hour sessions that occur three times per week.

Who should take this course? These classes are for anyone who works with youth and would like to lead ART groups, including:GLC's, Treatment Managers/YCUC's, Residential Program Staff, Parole/Probation Officers, OYA Office of Minority Services Staff, Field/Facility Supervisors and Managers.
Registration

This 5 day course is free to all OYA staff. The cost for non-OYA staff is $250. A training manual is provided for each participant.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own copy of the book:

Aggression Replacement Training ®: A Comprehensive Intervention for Aggressive Youth by Dr. Arnold P. Goldstein, Dr. Barry Glick, and Dr. John C. Gibbs.
