An important message from the Training Academy Director,Oregon Youth Authority, image of Lynn Oliver, Director, Oregon Juvenile Justice Training Academy, 2630 N.Pacific Hwy, Woodburn,OR 97071

We hear you're getting ready to visit the OYA Training Academy - and we're looking forward to meeting you! Our goal is to make your visit as effective and enjoyable as possible. Whether you're a class participant, instructor or a visitor to the Academy, we'd like to welcome you and make sure you have everything you need for your visit.

Due to the Academy's location "inside the fence" at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility, there's certain information we need to share with you. Everyone who works on - or visits - a close custody correctional facility must follow safety and security laws and procedures. We don't expect our Academy visitors to know everything about how things work here. But, because the laws and procedures apply to you too, we need to make sure you're informed. We've created a list of key things you need to know before your visit - and have included some additional things we hope will be helpful:

Questions? Please call the Academy at (503) 981-2515 or email our Office Specialist, pamela.livingston@state.or.us. And, be sure to tell us if you need any special accommodations for your visit.

Thank you for your interest in the Training Academy - we'll see you soon!
