Visitation

OYA recognizes the importance of interaction between youth in its custody and family and members of the community. Such access allows youth to maintain positive relationships that can help with their rehabilitation and contribute to effective planning for their treatment needs.

  • Thursday - 6:30-7:45 p.m.
  • Saturday/Sunday - 9-10:20 a.m.
                                   10:40 a.m.-12 p.m.
                                   1-2:20 p.m.
                                   2:40-3:45 p.m.

  • Visitation schedule is by appointment only on Saturday, Sunday and Thursday evenings.

  • Visitors must schedule their appointment with the visitation coordinator by calling 1-541-955-6858, by noon Wednesday for Thursday evening visiting and by noon Thursday for weekend visiting.

  • Special visits, outside of regular visitation schedules, may be arranged through the Treatment Manager or designee if the parents/guardians are unavailable to visit on the designated days.

  • All persons visiting must be pre-approved by the youth’s Treatment Team and have a criminal history review conducted. All requests will be considered for visitation and allowed or denied on the basis of what would best benefit the offender, within the interests of facility security and order.

  • Visitation is supervised by OYA staff.

  • OYA staff will inform visitors of applicable rules, policies, and procedures relating to visitation prior to entry into the facility.

All visitors must get approval from the facility and their youth's unit managers, using this Request to Visit form.

Testing Water for Lead

Starting in February 2017, the Oregon Youth Authority is testing the water at all of our close-custody facilities for lead. We are testing outlets used for drinking and cooking. Lead can be harmful to people's health, and we want to make sure all youth and staff are safe and healthy.
