  • Employer EDX Training, September-December 2016
     
    Employer EDX training dates for the balance of 2016 are now available.  EDX Training consists of two presentations:  1) EDX Basics, which reviews employer Web Administrator and Payroll Specialist positions, report generation procedures and an in-depth review of EDX DTL1 and DTL2 records, and 2) Advanced Topics, Eligibility Rules and Reporting Retirees.   The Advanced Topics presentation will cover a variety of topics including Leave w/o Pay (LWOP) and USERRA reporting, changing account contribution methods (MPPT, MPAT or EPPT) and the Police and Fire Units program. 
     
    EDX Basic Concepts, Advanced Topics, Eligibility Rules and Reporting Retirees training is offered ONLY ONLINERegistration for EDX Employer training is done exclusively online.

    This announcement restates the statute basis for unused sick leave hour accumulation and reporting unused sick leave to PERS. A formula for calculating unused sick leave to be reported is included.

    The Introduction to GASB 68 for OPERS Employers and the PERS GASB 68 Disclosure Information documents are posted.
  • Employer Announcement #97
         Employer Announcement #97 outlines when contributions are first due, and changes in reporting those contributions, for individuals who establish OPSRP membership on, or after, January 1, 2016.
  • OPSRP retiree work hour limits have changed.
    OAR 459-075-0300 and 459-080-0300 were amended July 31, 2015 to clarify PERS oversight of OPSRP retiree work hour limits and what hours worked in the year of retirement contribute to the calendar year work hour limit for an OPSRP retiree in a post-retirement “non-qualifying” position. A revised employer announcement aand FAQ describe the changes.
EDX Employer Resources
EDX Online Availability:

EDX online is normally available 6 a.m. - 9 p.m., Monday - Friday, and 6 a.m. - 4 p.m. each Saturday.

Each Saturday, 4 p.m. - Monday, 6 a.m., is reserved for network maintenance, and EDX online CANNOT be guaranteed.

Scheduled deviations from the normal 9 p.m. downtime and 6 a.m. availability can be found in the employer's EDX home page "Messages from PERS" area. Employers will be informed by email of any unscheduled deviations from normal availability or scheduled unavailability.

EDX online will normally be available during scheduled holiday PERS office closures (click the "PERS Office Closure Dates" link on this page). EDX batch will be run the evening of the business day before and after a scheduled holiday office closure but NOT run the evening of a scheduled holiday office closure.
