Dear PERS Employer:
The penalty for late reporting of wage and contribution data was waived November 30, 2006, and the YTD Summary screen was disabled December 1, 2006 due to performance problems.
YTD Summary screen performance problems were resolved and the YTD Summary screen was restored December 11, 2006. The late reporting penalty waiver was continued to allow employers additional time to recover from the YTD Summary screen performance problems and begin records review for the 2006 annual reconciliation process.
YTD Summary performance has remained acceptable, and the 2006 annual reconciliation process will end February 28, 2007. All reports for calendar year 2006 should have been received by that date.
The late reporting penalty will again be effective March 1, 2007.
Employers who feel a late reporting penalty has been incorrectly assessed may request a waiver by submitting the "Employer Request for Penalty Waiver " form found on the PERS Employer website under the "Employer Forms" menu topic.
