Last Date Worked:

The Last Date Worked will be the last date the employee was physically at the job or the last date the employee took paid leave (vacation, sick, comp time, etc.) – whichever is later.  However the last date worked can never be later than the 02-Termination status code date, which is the date the employer-employee relationship actually ends.

Here are some examples to clarify Last Date Worked from the 02-Termination Status Code date.

Example #1:
Employee ‘A’ last works on 5/31/2006, takes two day of vacation time and is officially terminated 6/5/2006.
Status Termination Date: 6/5/2006
Last Date Worked: 6/2/2006

Example #2:
Employee ‘A’ last works on 5/31/2006 and begins FMLA leave of absence (unpaid leave or “LWOP”).  Three months later the employer-employee relationship ends on 8/31/2006.  No paid leave is paid after 5/31/2006.
Status Termination Date: 8/31/2006
Last Date Worked: 5/31/2006

Example #3:
Employee ‘A’ last works on 5/31/2006, is given a last paycheck that included unused vacation and comp time on 6/10/2006, but was officially terminated on 6/1/2006.
Status Termination Date: 6/1/2006
Last Date Worked: 5/31/2006
