EDX employer education is comprised of two classes.
EDX Basics:
Note: This course is designed for those new to a PERS reporting position with their employer or with less than six months in that reporting position.
The course covers a review of Web administrator and payroll specialist roles. In addition, the course covers EDX reports, their creation and submission, the types of records used in EDX reports, and procedures for editing records. In-class, hands-on exercises are given, and one-to-one time with the employer's ESC (Employer Service Center) account representative is provided.
EDX Intermediate Reporting Topics:
Note: This course is best suited for those who have six months or more experience reporting PERS data through EDX.
A variety of EDX reporting concepts are covered, including eligibility, contribution start dates (CSD), leave without pay (LWOP), FTE, and average overtime fields and their use. Included are reviews of the most common EDX errors, the probable causes of those errors, and the suggested fixes.
One-to-one time with the employer's ESC (Employer Service Center) account representative will be provided to address any specific reporting problems. Please bring those reporting problems to this class.
