Idaho Power Rate Case
 
The Oregon Public Utility Commission on Feb. 23rd, 2012 agreed to raise rates for customers of Idaho Power by $1.8 million or 4.5 percent effective March 1, 2012.  The rate impact will vary depending on customer class. Residential rates will increase by 5.4 percent, irrigation customers by 6.8 percent.
 
The utility had initialy requested to increase their rates by $5.8 million or 14.7 percent overall.
 
The Commission staff and customer groups worked for approximately nine months to reach the settlement approved by the Commission.  

Idaho Power’s last general rate case was in 2009.
