| Northern Oregon Coast Open Houses for 10 Digit Area Code Dialing |

The Oregon Public Utility Commission will host four Open Houses to provide information to the public about the pending change to ten-digit dialing in the coastal 503 area code.
The Open Houses provide an informal setting for the public to obtain information, and ask questions of Commission Staff and telephone company employees about the upcoming change. There will be information tables and handouts. Customers can come and go at their leisure. There will not be a formal presentation. The doors will open at 6pm and the Open House will last until 7:30pm.
Beginning in October of 2007, customers will be in a permissive time period in which both seven-digit and ten-digit calls will be connected. Effective April 27, 2008 only ten-digit dialed calls will go through.
