Overview: On June, 25, 2009, with Order No. 09-249 the Oregon Public Utility Commission (OPUC, the Commission) granted Idaho Power’s request to withdraw the company’s 2006 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) Addendum regarding the proposed 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line between the Boardman, Oregon, and Hemingway, Idaho substations (B2H). Idaho Power may ask the OPUC to consider the need for this transmission line in the firm’s 2009 IRP to be filed with the Commission before the end of 2009. The delay will provide the firm additional time to perform an updated analysis of the B2H project using current load forecasts.
