Boards

The State Plumbing Board helps the director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services to administer the plumbing program as described in ORS 693​. The board also oversees the licensing and enforcement of the plumbing program to ensure that the persons involved are appropriately licensed and the work meets minimum safety standards.​

Members are appointed by the governor and subject to confirmation by the Senate. The State Plumbing Board has s​even members with four-year terms to include the following representation:​

  • A journeyman plumber
  • A registered plumbing business
  • A local plumbing inspector
  • A registered professional mechanical engineer (Vacant)
  • An employee of Oregon Health Authority
  • A plumbing equipment supplier or building official
  • A public ​member (Vacant)
