HOW TO USE THE GUIDE TO APPRENTICESHIP
Oregon Apprenticeship Guide

We have prepared this guide as an introduction to apprenticeship, a summary of current Oregon apprenticeship programs, and an aid in helping you find a program that best fits your interests, talents and skills.

Apprenticeship committees occasionally make changes in their programs so check this website often to make sure that you have current information. If you have questions about program operations and requirements, call the apprenticeship committees listed in this guide. If you´re unable to contact the committee or you have general questions about apprenticeship, call our Apprenticeship Information Office at 971-673-0760.

Guide Sections

The introduction provides links to other fact sheets and commonly asked questions about registered apprenticeship. We have included an index for construction trades and another index for industrial trades and miscellaneous trades. These include an alphabetical listing of the occupations, the names and phone numbers of the apprenticeship committees, the geographical area designation and the page number where the occupation´s summary can be found in the guide.

Geographical Area Designations

Each apprenticeship committee operates its program within defined geographical areas. Those areas are designated on the indexes with a number between 1 and 7. The counties in each area are listed below:
