Marion Sharp, MA, is a program manager/academic professional at Portland State University. For more than 10 years, she has managed and developed professional certificate programs for human services professionals. Her two current programs are in Interpersonal Neurobiology and in Therapy with Adoptive and Foster Families. She has also coordinated the weekly PSU Social Sustainability Colloquium for seven years and is involved in a number of grants focused on social sustainability, health and equity.
Ms. Sharp was a social worker and then therapist (LMFT) in Florida for many years before moving to Oregon in 1996. In Florida, she ran a permanency-focused residential facility for long-term foster care adolescents for several years and was a child and family therapist at a Child Guidance Clinic where she worked extensively with child sexual abuse treatment. She also was an Employee Assistance provider and organizational consultant/trainer for six years and then, after moving to Oregon, managed a training and development team at OHSU for four years.
