Treatment Courts

Overview

Adult Drug Courts adhere to the 10 Key Components of Drug Courts, the nationally recognized framework for program operation. These courts target nonviolent adult high-risk and -need offenders who have substance use disorders in an effort to reduce recidivism and drug use. Research shows that a participant is more likely to succeed through early identification of need, ongoing judicial interaction, mandatory drug testing, community supervision and the use of incentives and sanctions all key components of the model.
