Agency Biennium Risk Charges

Biennially DAS Risk Management invoices state agencies, boards and commission it insures. These are referred to as Risk Charges. The money collected from the Risk Charges establishes the self-insurance fund. This fund is used to pay for:

  • Claims and certain lawsuits files against the state of Oregon
  • State property losses
  • Commercial insurance
  • Defense of claims
  • Program administration
