Proposed rulemaking

Rule Coordinator: Sue MacMillan, 503-229-6458

DEQ is proposing changes to OAR 340, division number 246 that will make revisions to 23 standing Ambient Benchmark Concentrations, and add new benchmarks for phosgene, n-propyl bromide, and styrene. DEQ is also proposing some minor plain language edits and to add which statutes are being implemented by the rules.

DEQ convened a fiscal advisory committee to evaluate this rulemaking’s fiscal impact statement. If DEQ determines that the fiscal impact statement needs to be amended based upon the committee’s input, DEQ will publish an updated fiscal impact statement and re-open the comment period for an additional 20 days.
