Wednesday, June 10 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The commission will convene its regular meeting at approximately 10 a.m.
The commission will review and take action on draft minutes from the April 15-16, 2015, regular EQC meeting.
Staff from the state Charitable Fund Drive will present a recognition award to DEQ for its employees’ donations to the 2014 campaign.
DEQ staff will present an overview of recent updates to the agency’s Water Quality Permitting Program.
DEQ will solicit input from the commission on the annual self-evaluation and survey for EQC’s Key Performance Measure. The survey results will be presented at the August 2015 regular commission meeting.
The commission will recess for lunch from approximately 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
DEQ staff will present the annual report on agency financial information, and present an update for the 2015 agency financial information.
DEQ staff will present updates on the 2015-17 agency budget process, state and federal budget information and state and federal legislative matters of interest to the commission.
DEQ staff will present Director Pedersen’s 2014 transactions for review and approval, per agency policy and state rules.
The commission will recess at approximately 4 p.m. until 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 11.

Thursday, June 11 – 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

I. Public forum
The commission will reconvene at 9 a.m. for public forum. During this 60-minute item any person may present comment on environmental issues except a proposed rule action for which the comment period has occurred and closed. Each person is asked to complete a short registration form and to limit comments to five minutes or less. Comments are taken in the order they are received. The commission may extend or shorten this item at its discretion.

DEQ staff will present information about the history of contested cases before the commission, DEQ’s enforcement program and discuss EQC’s ongoing role in contested case hearings.
Director Pedersen will present written and verbal updates about DEQ, state and federal environmental activities of interest to the commission.
Commissioners will provide verbal updates on their activities and other items of interest to the commission. DEQ staff will also solicit commissioner feedback on future agenda topics for EQC meetings.
Lunch and executive session
The commission, legal counsel and some staff will meet for an executive session and working lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. This executive session will be held in accordance with state public meeting laws.
DEQ staff and project partners will present information about the cleanup and redevelopment of Minto Island, a former industrial site that is now a recreational and nature area in Salem.
The commission will adjourn its public meeting at approximately 1:30 p.m.
M. Tour: Minto Island
Commissioners, some staff and project partners will take an afternoon tour of Minto Island and related project sites. The tour will depart after the commissioners’ lunch and return to the meeting venue at approximately 3:30 p.m.
