Governor's Council to hear alcohol and drug testimony in Hillsboro




What: Public meeting of the Governor's Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Programs


When: Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m..


Where: Public Services Building, 155 N. First Ave., Hillsboro


Agenda: Council members will hear testimony from designated Washington County representatives at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. about local services and about "The Domino Effect," a state report on which a presentation will be made at 11 a.m. County representatives will address what is working, service gaps and make recommendations. "The Domino Effect," (PDF) available on the Oregon Department of Human Services Web site, reported a significant decrease in access to alcohol and other drug treatment and presented a business plan for rebuilding substance-abuse prevention, treatment and recovery.
