Beach Monitoring Advisory Committee to meet in Florence
The Beach Monitoring Advisory Committee will meet in Florence from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. this Friday, Feb. 13, at the Driftwood Shores Resort and Convention Center, 88416 First Avenue.
This is the second of five meetings that will be devoted to the development of a public notification plan. Friday’s meeting is facilitated and will focus on the initial stages of developing the public notification plan and outreach campaign. Public comment will be taken between 2:30 and 2:45 p.m.
The advisory committee was convened by the Oregon Department of Human Services to gain input into the public notification plan. The 23-member advisory committee is made up of city, county and state officials; business, environmental and tribal representatives; and others.
