Oregon Patient Safety Commission
The Oregon Patient Safety Commission will hold its second public meeting in Portland on Tuesday, May 11.
The meeting is from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kaiser Permanente regional office in conference rooms 3A and 3B at 500 N.E. Multnomah Street. The agenda includes discussion of a business plan and revised budget, funding strategies, and planning work steps necessary for building a voluntary reporting system.
The Patient Safety Commission is a semi-independent state agency with a governor-appointed 17-member board of directors. Its mission is to improve patient safety by reducing the risk of serious adverse events occurring in Oregon's health care system. One of the commission’s primary tasks will be to create a confidential, voluntary reporting system for serious adverse events.
