Oregon Patient Safety Commission
The Oregon Patient Safety Commission will hold its third public meeting in Portland on Tuesday, June 22.
The meeting is from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Conference Room 501 at the Metro Regional Center, 600 N.E. Grand Avenue. The agenda is devoted primarily to discussion of a funding plan, committee updates and administrative issues related to creating and locating a commission office.
The Patient Safety Commission is a semi-independent state agency with a governor-appointed 17-member board of directors. Its mission is to improve patient safety by reducing the risk of serious adverse events occurring in Oregon's health care system. One of the commission’s primary tasks will be to create a confidential, voluntary reporting system for serious adverse events.
