The Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS) will conduct two public hearings on Thursday, November 4 in Tillamook and Astoria regarding the proposal for Mid-Willamette Valley Senior Services Agency (MWVSSA) to expand their Area Agency on Aging designation to include Clatsop, Tillamook, Yamhill, Polk and Marion Counties.
Under the proposal MWVSSA would assume responsibility for providing Medicaid, Older Americans Act and Oregon Project Independence services to seniors and people with disabilities in these counties.
Thursday, November 4
Tillamook: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., 4670 East Third Street
Astoria: 2:30 to 4 p.m., 450 Marine Drive, Suite 200
The hearings will include an overview of the changes and the opportunity for public comment.
