Public meeting notice: Public Health Advisory Board



State Rep. Mitch Greenlick of Portland will be featured as the luncheon speaker at the Public Health Advisory Board quarterly meeting in Portland on Sept. 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Portland State Office Building, 800 N.E. Oregon Street, Suite 918.


Agenda items include updates on budget and legislative issues and the search for a new Oregon Department of Human Services director. There will be presentations from Michael Skeels, public health laboratory director, on the topic of cystic fibrosis screening and John Jui, M.D., on the State Trauma Advisory Board, which he chairs. Following lunch there will be a general discussion of emerging public health issues.


PHAB is a 15-member board appointed by the governor that is charged with reviewing statewide public health issues and advising the Oregon Department of Human Services on public health policy matters.
