Regional meetings will focus on asthma
What does good asthma care look like? Come find out at one of five free community meetings set for Astoria, Bend, Medford, Eugene, and Portland in October and November, sponsored by the Oregon Department of Human Services.
Members of the Oregon Asthma Network, a group of more than 1,600 organizations and individuals working to improve the lives of Oregonians with asthma, are strongly encouraged to attend.
Others in the community that have a strong interest in asthma care in Oregon are also invited. Meeting dates, times, and locations are:
October 21 in Astoria: Meeting is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the conference room at the Clatsop County Health and Human Services building, 820 Exchange St., Suite 100.
October 25 in Eugene: Meeting is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Sunset Room at the Downtown Athletic Club, 999 Williamette St.
October 26 in Medford: Meeting is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Conference Room at the Jackson County Health and Human Services building, 1005 E. Main St.
October 27 in Bend: Meeting is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Stan Owen Room at the Deschutes County Health and Human Services building, 2577 N.E. Courtney Dr. (one block north of the hospital).
November 2 in Portland: Meeting is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 14811 Kruse Oaks Dr., Lake Oswego
This is the sixth year these meetings have been convened. Participants have an opportunity to share current information about asthma in Oregon, learn about new resources to support asthma care and review and update Oregon's five-year statewide asthma plan.
