Governor's Commission on Senior Services to meet Friday, Committees on Thursday

What: Public meeting

When: Friday, January 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A time for public testimony at the full Commission meeting is scheduled for Friday at 9:20 a.m.

Committees meet on Thursday, January 26:

• Health, Abuse and Long-Term Care, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• Mental Health and Addiction Services, 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
• General issues, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
• Legislative advocacy, 3:15 p.m.to 5 p.m.

The Governor's Commission on Senior Services is charged in Oregon statute with advising the Governor and the Director of Human Services on needs of elderly persons, and recommending actions by the Governor, the Department of Human Services, other governmental entities and the private sector, appropriate to meet such needs.
