Senior Services Commission meets Thursday and Friday

Who: Governor's Commission on Senior Services

What: Public meeting

When: Friday, May 26, 9 a.m. to noon.

(Note: The commission will meet informally with Senior and People with Disabilities staff and local service providers on Thursday, May 25, from noon to 4 p.m.)

Where: Valley River Inn, 1000 Valley River Way, Eugene

Agenda is posted on the DHS Governor's Commission meetings Web site. 

A time for public testimony at the full Commission meeting is scheduled for Thursday at 9:30 a.m.

The Governor's Commission on Senior Services is charged in Oregon statute with advising the Governor and the Director of Human Services on needs of elderly persons, and recommending actions by the Governor, the Department of Human Services, other governmental entities and the private sector, appropriate to meet such needs.
