Vacancies available on People with (physical) Disabilities Advisory Committee
The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking individuals interested in physical disability issues to serve on the People with Disabilities Advisory Committee (PDAC).
Prospective members need to reside in Clatsop, Crook, Deschutes, Harney, Jefferson, Klamath, Lake, Malheur, Tillamook, or Washington counties, should have a background in advocacy related to physical disabilities and be available to meet in Salem up to six times a year and at other times for three hours by video conferencing.
Staff and PDAC members review applications and make recommendations to the director of the Department of Human Services, who appoints members.
The mission of DHS People with Disabilities Advisory Committee is to "critically review and promote programs and policies within DHS by advocating, protecting, and developing services that are essential for enhancing choice, dignity, and independence for people with physical disabilities."
