Patient on unauthorized leave from Oregon State Hospital's Portland campus
A 23-year-old Oregon State Hospital patient who was civilly committed to state psychiatric care last November was reported on unauthorized leave Sunday night from the hospital's Portland campus.
The patient, Robert Lloyd Hubbard, was on a pass in Portland with his parents Sunday at about 5:15 p.m. when he said he wanted to take a walk. He then boarded a Tri-Met bus headed south on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. His parents, who called hospital officials while following the bus, said their son was gone when they boarded the bus.
Hospital officials said they notified Portland police and Oregon State Police.
Hubbard, a Multnomah County resident, is described as a white male, 5-foot-8, approximately 150 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. When last seen, he was wearing blue jeans, a green T-shirt and a hooded navy blue sweatshirt jacket.
Anyone knowing Hubbard's whereabouts is asked to call Oregon State Police at 1-800-452-7888 or a local law enforcement agency.
