State Hospital patient returned to Portland campus

A 23-year-old Oregon State Hospital patient, on unauthorized leave from the Portland campus since late Sunday afternoon, was returned to the hospital Monday at about 1:30 a.m.

Hospital officials said Robert Lloyd Hubbard was returned by his mother after he was seen standing outside his parents’ Portland home early Monday. While on a pass Sunday to visit with his parents, Hubbard had boarded a Tri-Met bus on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and disappeared.

The patient was civilly committed to the hospital in November 2005.
