Governor's Council to hear alcohol and drug testimony in Hillsboro

What: Public meeting of the Governor's Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Programs

When: Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m..

Where: Public Services Building, 155 N. First Ave., Hillsboro

Agenda: Council members will hear testimony from designated Washington County representatives at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. about local services and about "The Domino Effect," a state report on which a presentation will be made at 11 a.m. County representatives will address what is working, service gaps and make recommendations. "The Domino ​Effect," (PDF) available on the Oregon Department of Human Services Web site, reported a significant decrease in access to alcohol and other drug treatment and presented a business plan for rebuilding substance-abuse prevention, treatment and recovery.
