State wilderness program advisory board meeting

Details: Agenda includes the introduction of a candidate for the board and
the clarification of procedures for participation as a board member.

Directions: Take the Market Street exit from I-5, turn west. Follow Market Street to Commercial Street NE, turn left (south) and merge into the right lane. The building is on the right between the Marion Street Bridge and the Center Street Bridge. Parking is allowed on the street only.

In 2001, the Oregon Legislature passed a law requiring that wilderness youth programs be licensed by the State of Oregon. The six-member Outdoor Youth Program Advisory Board advises DHS as it monitors the activity of wilderness programs in Oregon.
