Oregon Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Advisory Committee seeks four additional members.
Oregon Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services is seeking four new members for its advisory committee. ODHHS is charged with making state agencies and programs available and accessible to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. The committee advises ODHHS, provides essential input on the services ODHHS provides, participates in goal-setting and legislative advocacy on the behalf of deaf and hard of hearing public consumers of Oregon state agencies and programs.
The advisory committee meets quarterly (first week of February, May, August and November) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Mileage is reimbursed.
Anyone interested in serving in this voluntary capacity, please submit a completed ODHHS Advisory Committee Application (available on line at http://dhsforms.hr.state.or.us/Forms/Served/DE0434.pdf.); a letter of interest expressing why you would like to serve on the Advisory Committee, including what community you are representing; one or more letters of recommendation from the community you represent.
