April 26: Caregivers Committee, 10 to 11:50 a.m.; Legislative Members' Update, 12:10 to 12:50 p.m.; Elder Abuse Committee, 1 to 2:50 p.m.; Mental Health Committee, 3 to 4:50 p.m.
April 27: Legislative Committee, 8:30 to 9:50 a.m.; Full Commission, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Public comment at 10:15 a.m.
A discussion on Health Care Reform in Oregon will be from 12:05 to 1:35 p.m. Presenting will be representatives of the Archimedes Movement, Oregonians for Health Security, AARP/Oregon, and the Oregon Business Council (invited).
The GCSS is charged in Oregon statute with advising the governor and the DHS director on needs of elderly persons, and recommending actions by the governor, DHS, other governmental entities and the private sector, appropriate to meet such needs.
If you plan to attend a meeting, please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, aftershave or other scented cosmetics. Some people are allergic or very sensitive to these products. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed for individuals requesting assistive hearing devices, sign language interpreters or large-print materials.
