Agenda items for the full Commission include Public Testimony (10:15 a.m.), HCC Budget (10:25 a.m.), Training Update (10:35 a.m.), Registry Update (10:45 a.m.), Drug-Free Workplace Update (10:55 a.m.), Executive Director’s Report (11:05 a.m.). The Commission is responsible for ensuring the quality of publicly funded in-home care services. The Commission has three major charges: (1) to define qualifications of home care workers; (2) to create a statewide registry of home care workers; and (3) to provide training opportunities for home care workers. Beyond these responsibilities, the Home Care Commission is also the “employer of record” for purposes of collective bargaining for home care workers whose pay comes from public funds.
