Governor's council to hear study results on county alcohol, drug abuse

What: Public meeting of the Governor's Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Programs

When: Dec. 18, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Where: Oregon Dept. of Public Safety Standards and Training, 4190 Aumsville Hwy., Salem

Agenda (times are approximate):

9:35 a.m. -- Council members will discuss the detoxification needs in the state, legislative briefings and other topics.
10:30 a.m. -- Council members will hear a planning update on the adolescent treatment summit.
11:15 a.m. -- Erinn Kelley-Siel, Governor's Office, and Stephanie Soares Pump, council chair, will preside over the Governor's Awards Ceremony (see separate story).
1:15 p.m. -- Council members will receive epidemiological data for Oregon counties and a DHS Addictions and Mental Health Division budget update.
