Agenda

  • March 26: 10-11:50 a.m.,Caregivers Committee; 1-2:50 p.m., Elder Abuse Committee; 3-4:50 p.m., Mental Health Committee.
  • March 27: 8:15-9:45 a.m., Legislative Committee; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., full commission, 10:15 a.m., public comment.
  • Claudia Black, the Governor's Human Services Policy Advisor, will meet with the commission from 12-12:45 p.m.

Meeting highlights include a demonstration by Judy Giggy, SPD of the new Seniors and People with Disabilities facility complaints Web site, and a presentation and discussion of the new assisted living facility/residential care facility rules.

The Governor's Commission on Senior Services is charged in Oregon statute with advising the governor and the director of Human Services on needs of elderly persons, and recommending actions by the governor, the Department of Human Services, other governmental entities and the private sector, appropriate to meet such needs.
