April 24: Caregivers Committee, 10 - 11:50 a.m.; Elder Abuse Committee, 1 - 2:50 p.m.; Mental Health Committee, 3 - 4:50 p.m. There will be a presentation and discussion on the Oregon Money Management Program from 12 - 12:50 p.m. featuring Carol Crookson of Oregon Easter Seals.
[REVISED] April 25: Legislative Committee, 8:15 - 9:45 a.m.; full commission 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Public comment at 10:15 a.m. Commission highlights include a presentation the Oregon Health Care Association on the staffing/workforce situation in the long-term care industry at 10:30 a.m.; a presentation by Oregon Attorney General Hardy Myers on efforts to combat financial abuse and fraud at 11:30 a.m.; and a working lunch on Making Oregon Vital for Elders (MOVE) at 12:10 p.m.

The Governor's Commission on Senior Services is charged in Oregon statute with advising the governor and the director of Human Services on needs of elderly persons, and recommending actions by the governor, the Department of Human Services, other governmental entities and the private sector appropriate to meet such needs.
