Long term care ombudsman
The Long-Term Care Ombudsman office protects the health, safety, welfare, and rights of residents in licensed long-term care facilities (Nursing Homes, Assisted Living, Residential Care, and Adult Foster Homes) by investigating complaints and providing advocacy for improvements in resident care.

Consumers can inform the Consumer Protection / Financial Fraud section of the Oregon Department of Justice of potentially illegal business practices by using the DOJ consumer complaint form. Under Oregon law, the Department of Justice cannot represent or give legal advice to individuals, but they can and do use consumer complaints for enforcing Oregon's Unlawful Trade Practices Act.
