OVRS 2012 In-Service

Thriving in a Climate of Change
August 14-15, 2012
Salem Conference Center
Salem, OR

The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (OVRS) offers an annual in-service to bring together staff and partners to share and learn how to thrive in a climate of change. The goal is to improve outcomes for the people with disabilities we serve through improving practices with what we learn during the in-service.

Those participating in the 2012 conference can expect to learn about:
  • Innovative ideas and best practices in vocational rehabilitation
  • Successful vocational rehabilitation methods
  • Service equity and diversity
  • Ethics

We are pleased to host nationally recognized keynote speakers and authors Jonathan Mooney and Kate Adamson. Another highlight of this year's event will be hosted focus group tables during lunch on the first day of the conference. Each table will have a pre-assigned topic to discuss and notes from each table will be posted online after the conference to continue the sharing of valuable information.

Please note that a new registration process is being used for the 2012 in-service. You will be able to find step-by-step registration instructions and all other in-service information on this web page soon. Registration opens July 13, 2012. Vendor applications to exhibit can be submitted now.
