Inmate walk away from Department of Corrections work crew in Portland

Today, at 9:32 a.m. inmate Delbert Lee Shelton, SID#7809330 was reported missing from the Columbia River Correctional Institution (CRCI) work crew.  The work crew was located at the Laurelhurst Park in Portland. The crew was raking leaves at the park. Inmate Shelton is Caucasian, 6'00," 180 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is 42 years old.
 
The Oregon State Police have been notified.
 
He was last seen wearing blue jeans with the word "inmate" and Department of Corrections (DOC) logo stenciled on the knee in orange, a blue T-shirt similarly stenciled and an orange reflective vest.
 
Inmate Shelton entered DOC on 9/8/2011 for a probation violation of possession of a stolen vehicle. His earliest release date was 8/2/2014.
 
The DOC Fugitive Apprehension Unit and the Oregon State Police are investigating. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts should call 911 or the Oregon State Police at 1-800-452-7888.
