Visiting Alerts and Prison Lockdown Information
Visiting reminder: Appropriate dress is required for all visitors, inappropriate dress will cause a denial of visit. Please see the visiting rule​ for detailed information. 
 
Santiam Correctional Institution: Saturday morning Enhanced Family Visiting sessions will discontinue for the rest of the season due to low attendance, beginning Saturday February 14, 2015. We will resume again in July as we are confident the numbers will again rise with the warm season and school break. (posted 2/5/15)
 
Oregon State Penitentiary: Due to operational needs of the institution, visiting will be canceled on Thursday, July 30. (posted 7/29)
 
Two Rivers Correctional Institution: Will be hosting Families Aiding in Rehabilitation (FAIR) Picnics this summer. The Medium FAIR event will be from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. with check-in beginning at 9 a.m. on the following dates:  
TRCI (medium) FAIR Picnic, 10 am-2 pm:
August 8 - Unites 5, 11, 12
​August 9 - Units 9, 13, 14
September 12 - Unites 9, 13, 14
 
Snake River Correctional Institution: The following dates have altered visiting hours:

The Summer Visiting Luncheon will be held on Friday, August 7. Visitors will need to arrive by 10:00am.

The Summer Visiting Luncheon will be held on Saturday, August 8. Visitors will need to arrive by 10:00am.
The DADS4LIFE Kid’s Day Camp will be held August 10 and August 11.
The Fall Visiting Luncheon will be held on Friday, November 6. Visitors will need to arrive by 10:00am.
The Fall Visiting Luncheon will be held on Saturday, November 7.  Visitors will need to arrive by 10:00am.

Two Rivers Correctional Institution: is pleased to host the 2015 Dad's Day Camp for adults in custody and their families on August 1, 10 am - 2 pm. This event will include many activities for each participant to enjoy. Please take a look at the pamphlet for the agenda and available accommodations for families.
 
Housing options for the families:
First come, first serve overnight stay option for families. Up to ten families can stay at New Hope Community Church in Hermiston on July 31 for the Dad's Day Camp event to be held the next day. Each family will get a free room to themselves to sleep overnight, a dinner served from 5 pm to 7 pm at no charge, and showers and breakfast will also be provided the next morning at 8:00am. Please contact your loved one housed at TRCI and have them let their counselor know if you want to take part in this overnight stay option being offered for this event only. If this venue fills up, there is another option available.
 
There is now a resource outreach with TRCI and Martha’s House in Hermiston. Visiting families can stay the night at Martha’s house on 305 SE 4 St. Contact information: Jodene Hughes 541-289-3344. Families will have their own rooms at only $15 a night. You may want to call ahead to make sure there are rooms available. This is offered 7 days a week for any families visiting loved ones at TRCI.
If all these rooms are full, the Quality Inn in Umatilla, Oregon at 705 Willamette St, offers a discounted rate to families visiting inmates. When booking the reservation or checking in, you need to ask for the special rate. Contact number 541-922-1101.
