1. How are service credits calculated?
 
One point is given for each full month of unbroken DOC service.
 
2. What is the effect of break in service in calculating service credits?
 
If a break in service (separation from the agency) is longer than 180 days, the time prior to the break and the break is forfeit.
 
3. Is Leave without Pay time considered a break in service?
 
No.
 
4. Is agency time split between security and security plus?
 
No. Service credits are calculated based on all DOC agency time.
 
5. Is all state service (time with other agencies) included in the service credit calculations?
 
No. Only DOC time is included.
 
6. Who calculates service credits?
 
Personnel Records.
 
7. Where are the service credits posted?
