Online Courses
Below is a list of online courses that are available through iLearnOregon. Each course title is emphasized in bold lettering. Each course listed is followed with a course description, how many training hours you will receive for completing, and a hyperlink taking you the iLearnOregon log-in screen. Once you log into iLearnOregon you will automatically be taken to the course title. Click the course title to launch the course.
 
Note: Clicking an online course title in iLearnOregon will automatically launch the course placing a "started" status on your training transcript.

Navigating Through Online Courses
 

Closing Out of an Online Course
At the end of each online course is an assessment. When you have completed the assessment a set of instructions will appear informing you to click the "Submit Score" button on the screen. After you click the Submit Score button, another message will appear informing you to click a specific button to close out of the course. You will need to click the button twice; first time to close out the message and a second time to actually close the window. This will take you back into the iLearnOregon screen. Wait a few seconds for the system to capture your completion before you continue to any other action.

2012 Annual Training-Online Courses
Description: Five Courses are required to complete for 2012 annual training. They are:
  • Bloodborne Pathogens (Assessment Only) (1 hour)
  • Inmate Access to Health Care (Assessment Only) (.5 hour)
  • Correctional Case Management Rule/Policy (Covers OAR Rule 207 and Polcy 90.1.3) (.5 hour)
  • PREA: An Inmates Perspective(1 hour)
  • Staff Suicide Awareness & Prevention: Looking Out For Ourselves & Each Other (1 hour)
Total Training Credit hours: 4 hours

Boundaries: Protecting Your Profession-Preventing Staff Sexual Misconduct
Description:
This program focuses on the most extreme staff/inmate boundary violation – staff sexual misconduct. Staff sexual misconduct with offenders is about more than sex. This behavior compromises your safety and security, the safety of the institution and offenders’ safety. While you may never get involved in this unprofessional behavior which is illegal in all states — you should be aware of how staff sexual misconduct with offenders can affect you, your job, your family, offenders and the community.

Description:

Description:
The correctional environment presents specific and unique challenges to maintaining good physical and emotional health. This five segment course reviews key points of Dr. Kevin Gilmartin's book, Emotional Survival for Law Enforcement.
Training credit: 1 hour for each segment.

Mental Health Basics and the Role of BHS
Desription:

Health Services Staff Only - Involuntary Medication Procedures for Nursing Staff
