The information on this page is only applicable to current regular status employees with the Oregon Department of Corrections and the Oregon Board of Parole.  This includes regular status positions both full and part time, limited duration, and employees on trial service.

Search for Jobs

You can now apply online by clicking on the job title you are interested in and clicking on the "Apply" link. If this is the first time you are applying using our online job application, you will need to create an account and select a Username and Password. After your account has been established, you can build an application by clicking on the "Build Job Application" link. This application can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening.


These search buttons will search all current announcements open to the public in which anyone can apply. You may also choose to search only the jobs open within the Department of Corrections.


These search results will contain all internal recruitments (State Employee, Agency Only). In other words, you must be a State Employee to apply for State Employee Only recruitments, and work for the Agency to apply for Agency Only recruitments. Job Rotations and Transfer Only Announcements may also be posted here.

Transfer Information

The Department of Corrections maintains a list of names of employees who are interested in transfer or demotion to a vacancy. When you apply to this announcement you can only select one classification at a time in which to be placed on. If you would like to apply to more than one transfer list, you must submit a separate online application for each classification you are interested in. The link below will take you directly to the DOC transfer list announcement.  

Occasionally there will be special transfer announcements opened for transfers and demotions only. You will need to follow the instructions on the announcements to apply. The standard transfer list will not be used with these special announcements. i.e. Correctional Officer's for the Transport Unit.

Hardship Transfer Requests

A hardship transfer must be based on medical or family welfare situation. Examples of medical or family welfare situations include: personal serious medical condition requiring local care in another geographic area; seriously ill spouse or dependent in need of constant care; care of elderly parent; or a family member in need of medical care only available in a certain location. Economic hardships do not constitute a family welfare situation.

All DOC employees wishing to be considered for hardship transfer need to apply to the Hardship announcement. Hardship transfer request will be reviewed by the Assistant Director of Human Resources and if approved, placed on the NEOGOV eligible list by classification.

If you are not on initial trial service, it is highly recommended that you also apply to the regular transfer list.

Job Interest Cards

Job interest cards are for open competitive recruitments only and notifications are sent when a recruitment opens for all agencies which offer those positions. They are not agency specific. Job interest cards do not work for DOC only announcements (for example: job rotations, agency promotions, transfers, etc.). You must check your work email or the DOC Employees Only Announcements page for those recruitments.

If you wish to be notified when a recruitment opens for a specific job classification instead of a general category, click the link below for the job classification descriptions. There you may locate a specific classification (for example: Correctional Officer, Office Specialist 2, Institution Registered Nurse, etc.) and request to be notified by e-mail, which will send you to the page to complete the form for a job interest card. Again, the job interest cards apply to all agencies offering those positions. Job interest cards are just a notification of an open announcement and have no impact on your current application status.
