Religious Services General Information
Religious Services, the oldest correctional program, provides a wide continuum of religious worship services, study programs, music programs, serious illness/death notifications, and pastoral counseling opportunities to meet the constitutional and legal mandates of the U.S. Constitution, Oregon State Constitution and judicial decisions. Religious Services has become an essential part of an integrated program system for change. Through its chaplains and volunteers, Religious Services provides mandated and innovative services in a cost-effective manner.

Religious Services Mission Statement
To provide a spiritual environment within the Oregon Department of Corrections that will model, promote, and encourage individuals to develop spiritually toward a redemptive and rehabilitative end.

Religious Services Organizational Structure
The religious services unit of the Oregon Department of Corrections is divided into three distinct groups, each tasked with a separate, though at times, somewhat overlapping mission.
Central Administration
Religious Services Central administration provides clerical and informational support to both the short and long term teams. Central administration office includes the Volunteer/Intern Program as well as Victim Services. Central administration also provides statistical reporting and data analyzing, report writing, and program oversight. Religious attendance patterns.
