SCCI Inmate Visiting
Visiting Sessions
Visiting at SCCI is scheduled on weekends and holidays.  Visiting hours are listed below.  Special visits may be allowed, but they must be approved in advance by the Institution Security Manager and arranged through the inmate´s Counselor.  Advance scheduling or notification to the institution that you will be attending a regular visiting session is not required.

To visit an inmate, the visitor must first be on that inmate´s approved visiting list for privileged visiting (basic visiting is not offered at SCCI).  If a visitor has already been approved at one institution for privileged visiting, they need not gain further approval when the inmate is transferred to SCCI, unless they are requesting a visit which requires "special visiting" approval.  All requests for additions to an inmate´s visiting list must be approved by the inmate.  The inmate will notify you when you have been placed on his approved visiting list.  You must wait for this notification form the inmate prior to a visit, since the clearance process may take up to 30 days from when the application is submitted.  Inmates are also provided with Visiting Policy Overview information which they can send to their visitors, and a copy is available here.  For more information about visiting, click on the link below or ask the inmate you wish to visit for a copy of the Visiting Policy Overview.

You may also submit an application directly to the Inmate Services Unit for processing. Click here to download a visiting application.

All visitors will be subject to the provisions of the DOC Rule on Inmate Visiting.  A summary of this rule is provided here: VisitingPolicyOverview.pdfVisitingPolicyOverview.pdf

Regular Visiting Sessions
Inmates housed at SCCI eligible for privileged visiting will be allowed to have visits during any of the four regularly scheduled visiting sessions. Regular visiting sessions are offered on Saturdays and Sundays in morning and afternoon sessions.  The morning sessions run from 8:00 am to 10:30 am, and the afternoon sessions run from 12:30 pm to 3:15 pm. Visitors will be able to visit one or all of the sessions as they wish, within the visiting point and number of visitor restrictions.

Visiting room capacity is not typically an issue at SCCI.  However, if space limitations require that visiting sessions be terminated early so that others may visit, the following factors will be considered: distance visitors travel, frequency of visits, and time of arrival.

Holiday Visiting
Holiday visiting sessions will be held on the actual day of the holiday and are open to inmates eligible for privileged visiting.  Holiday visiting sessions will be held from 8:00 am to 10:30 am and from 12:30 pm to 3:15 pm on the following holidays:
