| Summary |
When
a district dissolves, another district, formed under same principle as
dissolved district, may annex territory of dissolved district. Annexed
territory is subject to permanent rate limit and local option taxes of
annexing district.

Upon dissolution of a district pursuant to ORS 198.920, a district
that was formed under the same principle act as the district that was
dissolved may annex, pursuant to ORS 198.850 to 198.867, all or any part
of the territory of the dissolved district. |

ORS 198.860: Applies outstanding indebtedness of annexing district to
annexed territory in like manner as territory in district. |
ORS 198.860 amended:
(1) applies outstanding indebtedness of annexing district to annexed territory, unless debt distribution plan provided.
(2)(a) allows outstanding indebtedness of annexing district and annexed territory to be allocated per debt distribution plan.
(2)(b) imposes permanent rate and local option taxes of annexing district to annexed territory. |

(1) allows petition for merger or consolidation of districts to include debt distribution plan.
