POLICE LEGITIMACY AND PROCEDURAL JUSTICE (PLPJ)
This one day course explores how police can develop public trust and confidence by understanding the role of perceptions and addressing four things that impact people most in an interaction: voice, neutrality, respect and trustworthiness.  Activities include student directed dialogue and problem solving exercises focused on incorporating core concepts into community relationships and professional work environments.
 
ETHICS
This one day course is designed to help the student develop an understanding of human behavior, and how even good people can end up behaving unethically.  Activities include student directed dialogue and personal assessments designed to help public safety professionals identify how they can reduce their chances of engaging in unethical behavior. 
 
RESEARCH INFORMED DECISION MAKING
This one day course focuses on the use of reputable research to informed decision making so that criminal justice agencies continue to deliver services that have value to their constituents.  Activities include student directed dialogue and evaluation exercises focused on recognizing how contemporary research on “what works” can help improve the effectiveness of public safety agencies.
 
BASIC FACILITATOR DEVELOPMENT COURSE
This two day course is designed to develop the knowledge and skills to effectively engage adults in learning within a classroom setting.  Coursework emphasizes the role of the learner and the corresponding efforts of a facilitator to influence behavior change.  Activities include student directed dialogue, “teach-back” exercises and personal assessments.

This three day course is designed to develop the knowledge and skills to effectively facilitate PLPJ coursework in an academy or in-service setting.  The course begins with instruction on the principles of Police Legitimacy and Procedural Justice, followed by guidance and practice engaging adults in learning and influencing behavior change as a facilitator.  Activities will include student directed dialogue, “teach-back” exercises and personal assessments.
 
ETHICS FACILITATOR DEVELOPMENT COURSE
This three day course is designed to develop the knowledge and skills to effectively facilitate Ethics coursework in an academy or in-service setting.  The course begins with instruction on the human behavior and social influence, followed by guidance and practice engaging adults in learning and influencing behavior change as a facilitator.  Activities will include student directed dialogue, “teach-back” exercises and personal assessments.
