Executive Managers

What is an Executive Manager and under what circumstances do we need one?

Private Security Executive Managers are responsible for ensuring compliance of all private security providers employed by businesses or entities by which the executive manager is employed or contracted. An Executive Manager is authorized to perform the duties defined in OAR 259-060-0010.

Each business, employer or entity with private security professional staff of at least one person must designate an individual to perform the duties of an executive manager as described in these rules. This provision applies to any business, employer or entity that provides Private Security services within this tate, regardless of whether the business, employer or entity is located in or out of this state.

It depends on a number of things such as the fingerprint scanning results and FBI background check. Generally it takes about 1-2 months.

Please don't call DPSST to check on your status, instead check your status using IRIS.
