Deschutes County Land Exchange
Background
 
County officials have requested consideration in the South Redmond Tract Land Use and Management Plan (Plan), adopted by the State Land Board October 14, 2008, of a possible land transfer between the Department of State Lands and Deschutes County.
 
 

Location of Parcels
 
The Department of State Lands' North Parcel is described as, " Up to 238 acres in the North Half (N½) of Section 33, Township 15 South, Range 13 East, W.M., Deschutes County, Oregon, adjacent and contiguous to the Deschutes County Fair and Expo Center". Area Map 
 
In return for this property Deschutes County will exchange two parcels, Warrin Road and Long Butte.
 
Warrin Road description, "Approximately 159.17 acres described as the Southeast Quarter (SE¼) of Section 17, Township 15 South, Range 11 East, W.M., Deschutes County, Oregon". Location Map 
 
Long Butte description, "Approximately 120 acres described as the West Half of the Northeast Quarter (W½ NE¼) and the Northeast Quarter Northwest Quarter (NE¼ NW¼) of Section 22, Township 16 South, Range 12 East, W.M., Deschutes County, Oregon". Location Map

Deschutes County Hearing
 
According to the Deschutes County Resolution, "A hearing for the purpose of receiving objections to the above described land exchange will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, in the Board of County Commissioners Hearing Room of the Deschutes County Services Building, 1300 NW Wall Street, Bend, Oregon".
